One month old!!! And an update!

I cannot believe that my baby girl is one month old today! It feels like just yesterday we decided to start trying to have a baby! I cant believe how wonderfully perfect she is! Her little personality is already so strong its funny. She will fight going to sleep SO HARD, but once she falls asleep she can sleep through anything! She is really content most of the time. She only cries when she is hungry or over full.  If she is starving and tired she wont eat because she doesn't want to fall asleep. When she is doing this she holds her mouth shut so tight and arches her back and whimpers because you are trying to feed her, thus making her go to sleep! She is so wonderful and I am terribly blessed.

We have been pretty busy this past weekend. Brandon's Grandma, Margaret Hansen, passed away on the 1st of this month. So on friday we went down to Shelly to the viewing. She was almost 96 years old and just so frail. Her husband, Brandon's Grandpa, Roy Hansen passed away almost 2 years ago and she has just been so confused on why he went and she hasn't. So at the viewing it had more of an underlying factor of happiness. A little bit of sadness, but mostly happiness. Everyone there was just happy that she is with her loved ones and not in pain anymore. Saturday was the funeral. John asked Jaak (my brother-in-law) and I to sing at the funeral. So we headed down to Firth early saturday morning so Jaak and I could practice. We sang "How Great Thou Art", and I think that we did an alright job. It really was an honor to be asked to sing at such a wonderful ladies services. After the funeral we went over to my In-laws house and hung out for a little while. Then we headed down to my parents. My brother Jake, Tricia and Clark were there as well. It was good to visit and chat with them! On our way home we picked up the Zeb monster and brought him home, to test how well he will act around Paisley. So far he was been wonderful! He seems like a completely new dog. One that behaves and is not so hyper all the time!                       This sunday, as you all know, was Mothers Day. My first Mothers Day! I have a extraordinary husband who spoils me! When we got home late on saturday night, Brandon ran to Country Corner to use the Dog Wash and wash the dog. When Brandon and Zeb got home, Brandon surprised me with my mothers day gift! It was a BEAUTIFUL boeque of flowers and a movie that i have been wanting for quite a while! "Scott Pilgrim VS The World". I love it! I am not kidding, I don't think you could have a better husband then mine.  On Mothers day, we went to my friend Kylee's ward because she was blessing her daughter, who is 2 weeks older than Paisley, McKynlee. It was such a neat thing to see! Anyways when we got home, Brandon made yummy yummy Breakfast Burritos. That night we watched my Mothers Day movie and ate Tillimook ice cream (p.s. we love TILLIMOOK Oregon). Paisley gave me a wonderful gift as well! That night she went to bed and Midnight and slept all the way until 7:30!! Thats almost a full 8 hours! Oh my goodness it was wonderful to get a full nights rest!

Zeb wanted a picture too!   Everytime i get out my camera i have to take pictures of this little girl!

I told you I have it good!! Thats all for today! and maybe MAY!

Paisley Dawn!

Well, I have neglected my blog for the past couple of months! I just feel like i have had so much going on!

Mostly the birth of our wonderful daughter Paisley Dawn Hansen!!!
We went into be induced at 5:00 am on Sunday, April 10.  At 9:00 am they broke my water, at 1:00 I was dilated to a 4 so they gave me an epidural. Then at 8:18 p.m. my little Paisley Dawn was born weighing 8 pounds and 0 ounces and 20 inches long! After waiting 40 weeks and 5 days i finally got to see her little face. Only for a minute though.
During her birth she inhaled some fluids and she wouldn't open her mouth for them so suck it out. So it caused an infection. I got to see her for a total of 15 seconds before they rushed her into the NICU.  They ran a lot of tests and decided to start her on an antibiotic treatment that could be 5 days or 7 days. It was really stressful and full of drama, but it was all worth it. I have had my baby girl home now for a week and one day and i could not be happier! Unless, of course, someone gave me a MILLION dollars..

Its time..

I guess its time for an update. I skipped February all together but i dont feel to bad about it seeing how its a short month! :) Anyways, this past few weeks things have been coming together. I had a baby shower thrown by my husbands sisters and mother.  We got our tax return and bought some fun things. And we Pre-Registered at Mountain View Hospital.

So i guess i will start with the baby shower. It was very nice and i had a lot of fun! There was quite a few people there, and i was kinda surprised because i didnt feel like we invited to many! But it was good. I got a lot of little baby clothes for our little bundle of joy on the way, and we also got some nice things like a baby bouncer, and a shopping cart cover! I am truly blessed to be apart of the wonderful Hansen Family!  We started out the baby shower by having a lunch. It was very yummy! We had chicken salad sandwiches (which is one of my favorite things) and fruit and vegies and all sorts of goodness for your belly! Then we opened presents and played a few games. It was wonderful.

Also we got our tax return. With it we bought me a Nikon D3100 camera! I am in LOVE with it. We figured that i could get into photography if i had a better camera. Hopefully one day we can make more money than what we spent on it! Brandon got some music stuff which always makes him a happy boy!  Which makes me a happy camper as well!

This week i hit the big 35 weeks.. Last night i was having Braxton Hicks contractions like crazy and we were a little nervous because Mountain View Hospital wont admit you if you are less than 36 weeks. But alas the little one is still cooking like she should be. We took a tour of the hospital and it is very fancy! And i like that it wasn't very crowded with lots of people and stuff. I had a doctors apt. yesterday and he said that everything is looking as it should. I also had an apt with a nutritionalist and she said that i have gained to much weight for how far a long i am. BUT i didnt pay any attention because she probably weighed the same amount as me and i am 8 months pregnant.. :) im a little mean, but these are my thoughts. And this is my blog for the day/week/month.. you know whatever.

TIme Flies!!!

I cannot believe that it is already January! December flew by so quickly, i feel like my head is just catching up!
This December we house sat my in-laws house, and watched my brother in laws kids for about 10 days. We only watched the girls before school and a couple of hours after school, but not on fridays. I spent a lot of time by myself in Firth, and i kind of grew a fondness for that little quiet town, but don't tell my husband that! Haha His parents went to Hawaii and then on a Hawaiian Cruise, so while they were out gallivanting in perfect weather, we were sitting in their nice house, using their electricity and eating all their food. Not a bad deal if i say so myself! When they arrived home, we made the trip back to Idaho Falls, dog in tow, to our freezing condo. We had turned the heat off so we wouldn't have such a huge electric bill.. (not like last month!)
Anyways, then Christmas came around! It is always so wonderful to spend the holidays with family. Christmas Eve, Brandon had to work, so i headed on down to the little land of Rockford to enjoy the tradition of Christmas Eve Fondue! Could possibly be one of the best meals on the planet! I had never fully been a cheese fondue girl, but this year there was nothing better! And i have not even mentioned the Chocolate Fondue! But what more can you say on the matter? On thanksgiving we had dinner with Brandon's family! It was so good to have everyone there and to enjoy the company of my new family! So when Christmas came to town, we ate Christmas Dinner with my family. It  was so fun! I love my family...  It was nice to have everyone there (well, we were missing just a few, Gibson, Ashlyn and Olivia.. But we knew they were having fun elsewhere)! Our family has grown to big, so now we have dinner in the basement around the nicely decorated ping-pong table, and we still have to pile every one around! We definitely are blessed to have such wonderful a family! On both sides! Can you say LUCKY!
Then here comes the new year! Oh my lanta! Brandon had to work new years eve, so when he got home at 11:35 we ran to Common Cents and grabbed celebratory slushies and sodas.. (slushy for me and soda for him).. we barely made it home for the clock to change to 12:00 when i grabbed his face and laid one on him. That was how we celebrated new years.
I am not big on resolutions, because i feel like they are useless. I NEVER make mine, and i feel like a failure! But this year i have decided something new! I was sitting in sunday school yesterday, and i decided that i would work/study/practice charity this year. One semester in college, we had to choose one principle and study it all semester. I chose Charity. That semester was probably the best/funnest one!
So i thought, thats what i should do for my resolution. Try to have the pure love of Christ. Try to help those around me, and not think ill of others. Its going to be a challange, but I CAN DO IT!! I am really excited!
Also, i just wanted to say, that this year i am turning 22 and becoming a mom. I am not sure if my year could look any brighter!

Anyways this blog is kinda boring, because i have been lacking motivation in the picture taking department.. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!

HOORAY

Well, its November! So time for my monthly update.
On the 16th we had our Complete OB Ultra Sound and we learned that we are having a baby girl!!! How exciting!! They said that everything looks perfect! They also said that the weight of the baby at 20 weeks should be between 9 ounces and 12 ounces. Our little one weighs in at 11 ounces!!! She is already chubby for her age:) but what is better than a chubby baby, i ask you! Looks like she is going to be a Hansen baby with her chubby cheeks and her thunder thighs!  Brandon almost had me convinced that she was a boy, so when we found out she was a girl- the world stood still! We couldn't be happier, and I think it pleased my sister Jaclyn, and sister Tricia!

Look at her little Chubby Cheeks..

Just playing with her arms!!

This is her little Foot.. How cute! You can see all the toes!
She is waving her arms! Amy thinks she looks like an Alien-

I just love those chubby Cheeks!
I keep bugging Brandon and asking him what she would look like! Like will she have black hair when she is born, or blonde? Things like that! So i thought i would post some Pictures of Brandon and I when we were little! The next four pictures are of us.

Brandon Todd Hansen
 Emily Dawn Jones

They are the closest age pictures i have of us when we were wee little ones.. So you can see that either way the baby will turn out stinking adorable.. If i do say myself!!! Cant go wrong with these genes!
Well thats all for today! Maybe I will blog again for Thanksgiving or something...

Well, well, well..

Hello everyone.. I am writing this blog but i dont have anything new, really, to say. So stay with me here!
Well as most of you know, Brandon and I are pregnant! I will be 14 weeks on Tuesday, so thats pretty exciting. We had a doctors apt. Friday, and everything looked well.. When they were finding the heart, with the little device they use, the little baby kept moving! They would find it and then the little plum would run away! So they were chasing it all around! It was quite funny. They said that we have an active one. I wouldn't doubt that for a second. I mean have you met ANY of my nieces or nephews on either side? All way active.. We are not really guessing the sex, we will be happy for either one! The only thing we are hoping for is a healthy baby!
Brandon is still looking for a new job, and trying to get in with his brothers at the Steel Workers Union. They pay a ton more, and have better hours. Which would be nice! I am still working at the Gap. The last two weeks i have been working about 3 days a week, but now they are short on hours so they are cutting everyones hours, so this next week i work.... Um... Saturday! haha.. Kinda humorous...
We are looking for a new home for our little puppy Zeb. Although we love him, i just dont know how i feel about having a puppy and a baby.. So Zeb is getting the boot (if we can find a place who would love him).

Thats about all for now.. Conference is wonderful! and the next session starts in 9 minutes! So gotta be jetting!
