Time Keeps Running Away!

Holy Cowabunga! I have not posted in such a long time! But thats just how I am. So, what is new? Well... Paisley is almost 6 MONTHS old! How rude is that? She is super cute and growing so so much! She is learning like crazy and is trying to figure out the crawling thing.
Yesterday we kinda had a little bit of a scare. Paisley and I were playing and she was standing up while I was holding her hands when I heard this loud POP! She has popped plenty of times before but never like this and she has never screamed like that before. So I called the Dr. and they set an appointment up for later in the day. While we were at the Dr. he said that a tendon (or something) in her elbow was popped out of place. SO he popped it back into place. TWICE. She seemed to be doing better so we went home and I watched her very carefully. She was still favoring that arm pretty badly and if I made her move it she would scream, so I called the doc back (THREE times).. When they called back they told me that they wanted to get some x-rays of her arm just to make sure there wasn't any fractures. OH MAN! That poor baby girl has had more x-rays then an average adult (excluding dental x-rays that is!) (she had to get x-rays while in the NICU as well..).. The x-rays were pretty tough on her but she was brave. Mom, on the other hand, was a HUGE mess! Holding her arm in weird positions and making her scream and holding her down isn't my cup of tea. Anyways after that ORDEAL when we got home the Dr. called and told us everything looked normal and just to keep an eye on her. Today she has been doing much better!
Brandon is still waiting to start at the Sheet Metal Union. He took the test (and scored the highest) then went to the interview (and scored the highest) but there were some minorities so he is 5th in line.. WELL actually they put one on a job already so he is #4 now.. SO hopefully..
I am still working at the Gap. I like it. I have not been working very much but it always dies down in September and October. But when November comes they get more hours and start working me more. I also joined a choir. I had to audition and everything.. But HEY i got in. We are the Choralaires! Its really fun. We sing Christmas music! We will do a BIG performance in December on the 5th! So get pumped people!
Paisley also got a new cousin this last week. His name is Porter. We haven't met him yet but we are looking forward to! Paisley is also supposed to get another cousin soon. His name is Miles. But he hasn't come yet and we are getting antsy in anticipation. We probably are not as antsy as my brother Jacob or SIL Tricia.
Well, I think that may be all folks.. I will as some pictures of Paisley.. NOW!

She is so freaking CUTE!

Blessing Day!!!

Sunday June 5th was the day we blessed Paisley Dawn. It was a lovely day! Sunny and with a temperature of 85 degrees! We had a lot of family members and friends come to it. Paisley sure is one loved little girl! On Saturday Brother Cline called and asked me if i would say the closing prayer in Sacrament meeting.. (OH JOY!) I said I would. Brandon gave Paisley a BEAUTIFUL blessing. Probably the best baby blessing i have ever heard! After church we all went down to Paisley's Grandma and Grandpa Hansen's house to have dinner. It was so fun. Its always nice to be around family. We are so so blessed to have the family we have. The Hansens and the Joneses are both equally amazing! Anyways i didnt take very many pictures. I am in a slump. I have a problem where i feel like i would rather live in the moment then document them.. So here are the few that i took..

Just some thoughts..

I apologize in advance for the scatter-brain post that this is. I have a lot on my mind and an abundance of spirit filling my heart these last couple of days/weeks. So here it goes. Hope I don't loose you within these boundless thoughts.

My sister Jaclyn, has become many things in my life. I have always loved and admired her, but it wasn't until recently when we have really become friends and she has been motivating me to be and do better. She went through the Temple at the end April. I am not sure she realizes that the blessings of the Temple affects all of us who know and love her. I see how it has changed her countenance and how it has changed the dynamics of our family. The blessings are pouring out on me and my family. She has been taking me to the temple with her. It is such a help to have her want to go. I always know/have the desire to go but i don't want to go by myself. Having my sister there makes it so much easier to have the motivation to go. Hopefully, one day, I will get the desire and motivation to go by myself. It makes me so happy to know that she is happy and to see how much she loves the gospel and serving our Lord in the Temple. Going to the Temple often with her has filled me with the desire to be a better person, a better example, a better wife and mother, a better Visiting Teacher, just better all around.

That leads us to the next topic on my mind lately. While Brandon is at work they listen to Talk Radio all day long. He comes home and tells me all about how our country is heading for disaster. Last nights conversation let to the point that the second coming is speedily approaching. Although I have known and looked forward to this my whole life, I am frightened! I need to repent of so many things and I need to make sure that we are as ready as we can be! I want our family to be one of those who will make it to the Millennium. I just feel like there is so much that needs to be done in preparation and I know that I will never feel like we are ready, but I guess I just need to be in the pursuit.

I have the best Visiting Teaching Companion you could ask for. She likes to get it done at the first of the month. When i say the first of the month i mean yesterday we went out and tried to get it done! I was in charge of the lesson. It is on being self reliant. Which fits in with my rants of before. I am not a very self reliant person. I am very very good at being reliant on other people. So that is something that I need to work on. I need to be good at Loving Work, repenting, being a good example, and sharing my testimony, just to name a few. There are so many things that i need to work on and now that i am a mom i feel it more necessary than ever. I feel like i need to be the person anyone can rely on. I need to be someone anyone can come and ask for help. I need to be so much more than i am.

I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that it is the only true church on the Earth. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and was sent here to restore the church, in fullness, to the Earth. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet of the Lord on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true.

These are just some of my thoughts, but i know that through the Lord i can do all things.

Back to work, Back to work, to prove to Dad i'm not a jerk?

Well, well, well. Sunday was the day. The day when I had to put my big girl pants on and brave the treachery known as work. ACTUALLY its not as bad as I claim it to be. I really quite enjoy my job. BUT leaving little Miss Paisley Dawn Hansen was a little hard. It was not as hard as I thought it would be though. When Paisley was only 3 weeks old, my dear big sister Jaclyn went through the Temple. It was a very special evening for her and I really wanted to share that with her. So Brandon and I asked my dear sweet Mother-in-law if she would watch Paisley.. Well she actually volunteered. And she said that if my brother Jacob and sister-in-law Tricia wanted to go she would watch Clark-a-monster as well! She is just so wonderful. That was my first outing without my baby girl. Last week I went to the Temple again, with Jaclyn, Tricia, and my Mom. So Brandon stayed home with our little tiny sweetheart. SO when it was time for me to leave and go to work, it was not as hard as i expected it to be. I worked 1:30 to 4:30, BUT i have to leave my house and 1:00 and i got home closer to 5:00. Thursday and Friday I also have to work 3 hours. 6:00 to 9:00. And then saturday i have to work 8:00 am - 11:00 am OR until 2:00 pm. If that is the case i will be missing her OH SO MUCH!

Anyways, Amy Miquelle graduates tomorrow. I am so happy for her! A high school graduation! Goodbye Snake River High! So we are going to go down and eat dinner with them and go to graduation. Brandon thinks it is pretty funny that we are doing this! BUT i like it!
I just wanted to blog today. Hope i didn't bore you to tears!

Leafy Treetop Spot..

I have a sister in law. Her name is Tricia. She is amazingly talented.
Ever since she found out we were expecting a baby girl, she has been spoiling her. Good thing Paisley Dawn is sweet or you would think she was rotten.. Spoiled rotten that is! Anyways. Tricia makes little Paisley lots and lots of cute things! So I had to post pictures of my little one in Tricia's Babushka outfit!

She made everything! The headband, the babushka, and the stinking cute cords. Anyways check out her blog Leafy Treetop Spot, and you will be AMAZED!

p.s. Paisley loves her Aunt!

24 Years OLD!

May 12, 2011 was Brandon Todd Hansens  24th birthday! Did you know i was married to an old fart? Just kidding kinda! We didn't do much for his birthday and it broke my heart!

I did, however, decorate our house, got him a couple of presents and make him his favorite meal! He had to leave for work at the normal time, around 8:15 in the morning. I hadn't been to the store yet, so i sneaked to the store to buy some birthday decorations and some groceries! When i got home Paisley and I decorated the house.

Well MOSTLY Paisley just slept... But who can blame her?! Brandon came home for lunch and we had left overs from Olive Garden form the day before (SIDE-NOTE- Brandon's parents gave us a gift card to Olive Garden for his birthday!). He went back to work and i made him his favorite desert.

He is not a fond of birthday cake so instead i make him Birthday CHEESECAKE.. A homemade recipe! Its delicious!   Then, at about 4:30 p.m., I started making him his birthday dinner.. Beans and Rice. Gross right? I am not the biggest fan, but Brandon LOVES it! Its really easy- Rice, Black Beans, Salsa, Cheese, and Sour Cream. I like to add Cilantro and Limes! Then he came home and ate dinner.

Later that evening I made him blow out candles and we ate some cheesecake. I think all in all it was a successful birthday!

And of course...

He feels left out if i dont include him in the pictures..
